Description

We are looking for an Admissions Coordinator (Partnerships) to manage a team of 4 Admissions Officers to process applications from our partner colleges. In this role you will work with colleagues in our Centre for Educational Partnerships, our Admissions representatives at our partner colleges and support the wider Admissions team.

Educational partnerships play a critical role in the University’s strategic and academic portfolio and this role is crucial to their success.

About the Role

You are a self-motivated, enthusiastic, customer-focussed individual with experience of working in Admissions in a Higher Education environment. The postholder will support the Head of Admissions and Applicant Support (Partnerships) in ensuring that our policies and processes are understood and adopted by our partner colleges. In addition to this you will look to continuously improve our processes, ensure they are fit for purpose and meet our regulatory requirements and statutory reporting requirements.

You will work closely with the University’s academic departments and partner Admissions teams and manage the team who assess student applications in a timely and professional manner, inputting admissions decisions into the student database (SITS) and the issuing of offers to applicants.

You will also play a key role in Bath Spa University’s recruitment activities and support Open Days and events.

  • An understanding of current developments in Higher Education, preferably in Admissions
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to use technical knowledge and apply this to practical situations
  • Ability to network and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Additional Information

Salary Grade 7 - Starting from £38,784 rising to £43,482 per annum

The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

PLEASE NOTE:
  • Some out of hours working will be occasionally required, including some evenings and specific weekends during the academic year (Graduation, Registration, Confirmation & Clearing).

  • Opportunities for taking annual leave during the months of July, August and September will be limited and leave at other times will need to be assessed across the team so that service provision is not impacted.
