Admissions Officer (1-Year Contract, Likely Permanent)

About the Role

As the Admissions Officer, you will be the first point of contact for prospective families, acting as a prominent and positive public representative of Westholme School. You will be responsible for the entire admissions journey—from the initial inquiry to the student\'s first day. Your primary goal is to build strong, lasting relationships with prospective parents and students, ensuring the school operates at full capacity and maintains its reputation as a leading educational institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Pupil Recruitment & Sales: Drive pupil recruitment by effectively managing the full admissions pipeline.


• Customer engagement: Proactively respond to and follow up on all inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.


• School tours & appointments: Conduct engaging school tours and arrange appointments for families with key staff.


• Conversions: Convert inquiries and visits into registrations by highlighting the unique value and ethos of Westholme School.


• Event Planning & Execution: Play a key role in the planning, preparation, and execution of major admissions-related events, including Open Mornings, Taster Days, and scholarship assessment days.


• Community involvement: Attend whole-school events to gain a thorough understanding of the academic and pastoral experiences we offer.


• Relationship Management & Communication: Build and maintain inclusive relationships with prospective and current families.


• Stakeholder engagement: Liaise with feeder schools to gather information and build strong community ties.


• Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other internal departments to ensure a seamless admissions process.


• Communication: Manage communication with all stakeholders, from initial contact to final enrollment.


• Administration & Analysis: Maintain and utilise the school\'s management information system to keep accurate, up-to-date records.


• Data & compliance: Track key metrics, analyse data on inquiries and conversions, and provide regular updates to the SLT. Ensure all admissions practices are compliant with regulations and continuously reviewed for efficiency.
