Admissions Advisor (Maternity Cover)

About us:
Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full-time learners and 10,000 part-time learners. We currently have a turnover of over £50 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff.

The role:

To work as part of the Marketing and Admissions department to ensure the College maximises applications through a range of liaison and marketing events and opportunities.

  • Full time (37 hours per week)
  • Fixed term for 12 months (maternity cover)
  • £24,131 - £26,268 per annum
  • Open to external candidates and internal staff (secondment)
  • Gorseinon Campus, Swansea
  • Interviews will take place w/c 9th December 2024 for a start date of 20th January 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a positive experience for learners as they transition to College by providing strong support throughout the process.
  • Develop strong working relationships with learning areas across the College to support the admissions process.
  • Coordinate the admissions process for identified learning areas and increase the awareness of the progression opportunities available.
About you:
  • A recognised qualification in business administration and/or relevant experience.
  • Experience of working with learners.
  • Ability to seek and arrive at positive solutions to problems.
