Job Overview

In collaboration with Dementia UK, Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional Band 6 registered nurse passionate about providing relationship-centered dementia care to join our Admiral Nurse Service. The work base will primarily be in Halton, with cross-cover expected in the Knowsley team if needed.

Role Responsibilities

1. Deliver specialist one-to-one support, guidance, and practical solutions for families affected by dementia.
2. Support best practices and role modeling within Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
3. Provide specialist nursing assessments using the Admiral Nurse Assessment Framework or appropriate tools, including managing distressed behaviors and risk minimization strategies.
4. Implement bio-psychosocial interventions to promote health and wellbeing for individuals with dementia and their families.
5. Advocate for the rights and best interests of people with dementia and their families.
6. Support and advise on carer assessments and reviews.
