After a unique collaboration between Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia UK and Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust to deliver a specialist integrated dementia service, we are looking for an experienced, compassionate and dynamic individual to join our team as Band 6 Admiral Nurses.
These specialist nurses will deliver evidence based interventions to families affected by dementia who have multiple and complex needs across Norfolk and Waveney.
The service covers Norfolk and Waveney and surrounding areas.
Employed by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, you will be supported by Dementia UK, who will support you to maintain and strengthen your clinical expertise as a specialist nurse through clinical supervision and professional development. You will become part of a national network of Admiral Nurses, and will have the opportunity to access relevant post-graduate courses and develop professionally, informed by the Admiral Nurse Competency Framework.
The main purpose of this role is to provide specialist dementia nursing expertise and support to those affected by dementia. The role will include the following elements:
Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently covering Great Yarmouth, Waveney and Surrounding areas. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a vehicle.

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £16 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
