About the Role

Dr Mirza & Partners has an opportunity for an administrator/receptionist to join their busy practice support team, on a full or part-time basis. This position is a key role within the practice to provide administrative support to members of the primary health care team.

You will work as part of a team providing front line administration services including sending referrals, processing solicitors/SAR/patient letters requests, as well as booking of outpatient and inpatient appointments and general office duties.

This position requires a self-motivated and professional individual with the confidence and ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities of the Role Include:
  1. Registering new patients.
  2. Scanning hospital letters and all mail, ensuring they are scanned.
  3. Stock ordering.
  4. Processing repeat prescriptions.
  5. Billing and invoicing.
  6. Processing orders and payments for the practice.
  7. Managing referrals.
  8. Processing reports, patient letter requests, SARs, etc., use of IGPR.
  9. Covering reception, as and when required.
  10. Handling phone enquiries efficiently.

  5. Are excellent communicators, able to work in a confidential and discreet manner.
  6. Have SystmOne knowledge.
  7. Have at least 1 year of experience or equivalent working within a GP practice or NHS environment.
  8. Can multi-task, work hard, and maintain a high level of attention to detail under pressure.
  9. Can work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and are also comfortable working independently.
About Us

Dr Mirza & Partners serves a practice population of approximately 6,100. We have 3 GP partners, two regular GP locums, and an associated staff of practice nurses/HCA providing medical services to our patients. We are part of the Hatters Health Network, offering additional health support in conjunction with 5 other practices.
