Pet Drugs Online in Keynsham, near Bristol, is seeking a detail-oriented Prescription Administrator to join our team. You will check and process veterinary prescriptions, ensure accuracy, compliance, and legal validity before medicines are dispensed.

The role requires meticulous data entry, strong knowledge of veterinary medicines, and the ability to liaise with veterinary surgeons. We offer a supportive environment with KPI-driven targets and progression opportunities.

Responsabilités

• Review and validate veterinary prescriptions for accuracy, completeness and legality.
• Accurately copy and input prescription information into internal systems.
• Check medicines for correct species, dosage, strength, formulation and duration.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or omissions in prescriptions.
• Liaise with veterinary surgeons to clarify or amend prescriptions when required.
• Ensure controlled and restricted medicines are handled in line with legal requirements.
• Work closely with vets and customer service teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records.
• Work towards agreed KPIs and SLAs.

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Prescription Administrator to join our qualified team at Pet Drugs Online in Keynsham. This is a vital role responsible for checking and processing veterinary prescriptions, ensuring they are accurate, compliant, and legally valid before medicines are supplied.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reviewing and validating veterinary prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and legality

Desirable

• SQP qualification
• Previous data entry experience
• Training in veterinary medicines and legislation
• Experience in a veterinary practice, pharmacy, or veterinary medicines supplier

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week
• Alternating shift patterns: 08:00-16:30 and 08:45-17:15
• Saturday shifts on a rota, with a lieu day provided the week before or after
