Job description

The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK’s largest trade unions.

A vacancy exists for an Administrator based at the Union’s Morden Office (Please note that the office will be moving to Croydon in the next 3 to 4 months).

Hours of Work: 10.00 am – 6.00 pm (Monday to Thursday), 10.00 am – 5.00 pm (Friday).

What we Offer:

  • 34 hour week.

Principal duties are: to provide a typing and clerical service, assisting in the provision of help and advice to members.

The successful applicant will possess: telephone and reception skills; the ability to work harmoniously in a small team and with individual colleagues; demonstrates tact, initiative and discretion; the ability to communicate effectively; well-developed planning and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines; IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
