Rathbones is seeking an Administrator for ISA operations in Liverpool. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service while safeguarding client assets and complying with HMRC ISA rules and internal policies.
You will support HMRC reporting, SISAs processes, and ongoing governance standards. A strong team player with organisational skills will thrive in this role within a FTSE 250 wealth manager with national reach.
At Rathbones, we help people invest their money well, so they can live well. That means more than financial returns – it’s about helping people feel confident in their decisions and supported in their future. We don’t just manage money, we guide people through life’s big moments, helping them stay on track and focus on what matters most. We’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading wealth managers, with £113.6bn in assets under management (as of March 2026) and 20+ offices across the UK and Channel Islands. We’re a FTSE 250 company with national reach and a local feel – and we’re growing.
Rathbones offers Stocks & Shares ISAs and Junior ISAs. Rathbones Stocks & Shares ISAs are “flexible” meaning that cash can be withdrawn without being lost from the ISA wrapper provided it is repaid within the same tax year. JISAs are available up to the age of 18 and can be closed with all investments converted into a ‘full’ ISA upon completion of an ISA Client Agreement.
This team is responsible for offering technical guidance to all parties within Rathbones concerning HMRC ISA rules, ensuring that Rathbones do not breach any regulations which could result in penalties being levied.
The team is also responsible for the submission of all HMRC reports: a monthly tax reclaim (ISA 10) and annual summaries of our subscriptions and investments (ISA 14a, ISA40 and Return of Information).
Rathbones also offer “APS” (Additional Permitted Subscriptions) whereby a surviving spouse/civil partner can add the value of a deceased spouse/civil partner’s ISA to their own. In all instances where the ISA holders dies, the account now becomes a “Continuing ISA Account of a Deceased Investor” (CISA). The CISA will remain in place until a) an APS takes place b) instruction is received to close the CISA (i.e. when there is no surviving spouse) c) 3 years elapses from the date of death.
