Job description

Service Care Solutions is working alongside Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, seeking an experienced Administrator (Finance) to join their team on a temporary basis. Please find the role details below:

Rate

£13.47-£14.78 (PAYE exc.) / £15.80-£17.64 (Umbrella)

Working

Hybrid 2-3 days (following initial training period)

Contract

3 months ongoing

Role Overview
  • Process and monitor payment of high-value construction-related invoices.
  • Track and monitor budgets, ensuring accurate financial records are maintained.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with forecasting and cost control.
  • Update and maintain internal databases with financial and administrative data.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal departments regarding payments and documentation.
  • Perform general office administration, including document creation, correspondence, and filing.
  • Support in producing documentation and reports using Word, Excel, and other MS Office tools.
  • Assist with procurement and order processing tasks as required.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within a construction or finance-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of budget monitoring and invoice processing.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas, tables, charts) and Word.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong numeracy skills and the ability to manage financial data accurately.
