Job description

Administrator / Document Controller - Construction
On-Site,Corby
Immediate Start | Long-Term Opportunity

We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Administrator / Document Controller to join a leading construction team on a major project. While no previous experience in document control is absolutely necessary; we will require you to have basic administration skills, a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, and a can-do attitude.

This role is primarily admin-based but offers the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to construction documentation systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Keep drawing racks and A3 folders fully up to date
  • Maintain office filing systems - permits, paperwork, QA records
  • Set up, clear down, and manage the diary for meeting rooms
  • Make and serve teas/coffees during meetings as required
  • Order and manage office supplies, including project-specific items (e.g., for Nike)
  • Assist with the use and administration of 4Projects (4P)
  • Support record schedule management
  • Take meeting minutes and issue them promptly
  • Help QA team by chasing up records, ensuring paperwork is completed
  • Maintain Tracker+ systems for deliveries, mileage, and CO₂ output
  • Provide general admin support to the Quantity Surveying (QS) team
  • Manage skip exchanges and maintain waste disposal records
What We're Looking For:
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to learn document control processes and QA systems
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Positive attitude, approachable and team-oriented
  • Previous admin experience preferred (not necessarily in construction)
