Job summary

Leigh Academy Bexley, part of Leigh Academies Trust, is offering an Apprentice Administrator role to support school office operations. You will gain hands-on experience, mentorship from education and admin professionals, and study for a Level 3 Business Administration qualification during paid working hours.

This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in education administration! As an Administrator (Apprentice), you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our college. Working alongside our School Office team and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will gain hands-on experience, build valuable professional skills, and help deliver operational excellence in a dynamic, supportive environment.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with colleagues, the Local Authority, and the wider Trust, learning how to manage daily administrative functions and handle sensitive information with care and discretion.

Who We Are Looking For: No prior school office experience is required; we are looking for someone enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to learn! Our ideal candidate:

• Has strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on delivering great service.
• Demonstrates a reliable work ethic, a proactive 'can-do' attitude, and flexibility to adapt to new tasks.
• Is passionate about working in the education sector and supporting students and staff.

Qualifications Required:

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and ICT.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm (including the 20% training element of the Apprenticeship Programme). This is a fixed‑term role for the duration of the apprenticeship (approx. 18 months).
