Job description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a pro-active and well-organised Administrator to support their Residential Conveyancing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong administrative background who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment and is committed to delivering excellent client service.

The Role:

The successful candidate will provide vital administrative assistance to the conveyancing fee earners, including the Managing Partner. This role plays an important part in ensuring the smooth progression of residential property matters and requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offering day-to-day administrative support to the Residential Conveyancing department and the Managing Partner.
  • Managing correspondence with clients, solicitors, and other third parties by phone and in writing.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files and managing key diary dates.
  • Opening and closing client files, preparing documents, and handling other general administrative duties, including typing and document formatting.

Candidate Profile:

While previous experience in an administrative role—particularly within a legal setting—is preferred, full training will be provided for the right candidate. Above all, the ideal candidate will be a team player who is dependable, detail-focused, and confident working with a range of people.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office IT systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing personal responsibilities effectively.
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
