About The Role

The Governors of St Augustine's Primary School are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible Administrative & Teaching Assistant to join our team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine administrative support with classroom-based assistance, ensuring the smooth running of our school and supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.

Key Duties
  • Provide high-quality administrative support in the school office, including handling correspondence, financial admin, maintaining accurate records, and managing office tasks.
  • Assist teaching staff by preparing resources, supporting lessons, and working with small groups or individual pupils.
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
  • Liaise effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Qualities
  • Strong organisational and IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and multitask effectively.
  • A caring, patient, and supportive attitude towards children.

Previous experience in an administrative or teaching assistant role is desirable, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
