Job Description:

Job Purpose: To provide administrative support in the delivery of undergraduate programmes in the School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine, Undergraduate School Office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with timetabling processes, including practicals, DOPs, module updates, CMIS & room bookings.
  2. Provide administrative support to the EMS Office, including data input, updating the student experience log, and processing health and safety paperwork.
  3. Monitor student absences, especially for final year rotations and expenses.
  4. Maintain and update relevant systems such as MyCampus and other course systems.
  5. Coordinate Induction Week events with course administrators.
  6. Serve as a clerk on a rotational basis for various committees.
  7. Undertake other duties as directed by the line manager or course administrators.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Essential:
  • Ability to demonstrate relevant competencies and experience in a similar role or Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 5 or 6.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Office 365, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Numeracy skills and self-motivation.
Desirable:
  • ECDL certification.
  • Knowledge of HE assessment methods and VLEs such as Moodle.
  • Experience with university databases like MyCampus and CMIS.
  • Experience working in an educational environment or with students.
Terms and Conditions:

Salary: Grade 4, £22,681 - £25,138 per annum. Full-time, open-ended position. The university offers a welcoming and inclusive community, flexible working, and opportunities for development.
