Under the direction of a Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing a service to LTHT and satellites. Based at our Facility at Dolly Lane, this busy Supplies area requires you to be organized and demonstrate confident communication skills when working with end users, especially during urgent orders. You need to be physically fit, as manual handling, pushing, and pulling may be involved. You should be adaptable to change, sometimes at short notice. Your responsibilities include providing a Materials Management service to designated sites, initiating and prioritizing audits, maintaining stock levels with handheld data devices, distributing goods, and filing. Additionally, as part of our resilience initiative, you will be willing to undertake full training to become a Class 2 qualified driver (funded by the Trust).

Main Duties of the Job

Receiving orders from colleagues at LTHT, LYPFT & LCH, as part of our receipt & distribution warehousing team, within the broader Supplies & Procurement department. Opportunities for career progression and training are available. This is an operational role requiring on-site presence five days a week (Monday to Friday), with no hybrid working options.

Main duties include:

  • Ensuring accurate record keeping of stock movements
  • Placing orders via the SupplyX system
  • Carrying out regular stock counts
  • Responding professionally to email requests from end users
  • Working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, between 7 am and 5 pm (TBC)

The Supplies department provides stock items to wards and clinical areas across the Trust. This role is manual and physically demanding but offers great job satisfaction. Job Responsibilities

Providing clerical support, including organizing, filing, handling mail, photocopying, and typing documents. Managing communications, scheduling meetings, maintaining records, monitoring stock levels, and supporting departmental administration. Ensuring compliance with policies and contributing to department development, including maintaining the intranet site and producing reports.
