The main purpose of this role is to provide senior administrative support to the Chair of Court, who leads the governing body as an external appointee elected by students and staff. The appointee will assist the Chair and act as a liaison between her work, the University, governors, and external stakeholders. This role is based within the Department of Government and Legal Services (G&LS).

Reporting to the Director of Governance & Legal Services, the individual must be diplomatic, an effective communicator, and capable of working independently and collaboratively. The role involves diary management, coordinating the Chair's schedule to ensure availability for her duties. The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills, ideally from a Higher Education background, and experience supporting senior management. Confidentiality, initiative, and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively are essential.
