About the Role

As an Administrative Officer, you'll be part of a supportive team helping to ensure the smooth running of courts and tribunals. You'll carry out a wide range of admin tasks and be a key point of contact for members of the public, legal professionals, and the judiciary.

Key Responsibilities

Administration & Operations

  • Prepare files and court documents
  • Manage in-house systems and data entry
  • Handle post, photocopying, filing, and bookings
  • Support court clerking, listings, hearings, and user assistance
  • Communicate with judiciary, legal professionals, and court users
  • Process legal documents, court orders, claims, and results
  • Validate and check data, ensure compliance
  • Handle fees, fines, and basic financial calculations
  • Participate in team meetings and improvement projects
  • Take on ad hoc roles such as Jury Bailiff Officer or L&D Coordinator

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 5 GCSEs (grades A-C)* or equivalent, or relevant administrative experience
  • Possesses strong IT and data entry skills
  • Works well under pressure and can manage their own workload
  • Is professional, reliable, and confident communicating with people at all levels
