  • Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm
  • Based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, office based
  • Occasional evening & weekend work may be required
  • Occasional travel within the Midlands or London Head Office may be required - expenses paid

Job Description

  • Provide general office administrative support for member events
  • Support work on communications including website and newsletters
  • Support lead volunteers to ensure that event preparation and administration runs efficiently
  • Respond to enquiries, research venues, take bookings, chase payments, reconcile finances
  • Arrange and support meetings including minute taking
  • Office admin, answering phones, managing post, managing filing

The Successful Applicant

  • Excellent IT skills including the Microsoft package
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with volunteers and staff at all levels
  • Excellent verbal communication skills dealing with enquiries both incoming and outgoing
  • Excellent written communication skills including emails, letters, writing of minutes and reports
  • Able to manage budgets and carry out financial reconciliations
  • Ability to build rapport and work effectively with external partners and organisations
  • Knowledge of volunteering procedures desirable
