Job Description
- Provide general office administrative support for member events
- Support work on communications including website and newsletters
- Support lead volunteers to ensure that event preparation and administration runs efficiently
- Respond to enquiries, research venues, take bookings, chase payments, reconcile finances
- Arrange and support meetings including minute taking
- Office admin, answering phones, managing post, managing filing
The Successful Applicant
- Excellent IT skills including the Microsoft package
- Ability to build effective working relationships with volunteers and staff at all levels
- Excellent verbal communication skills dealing with enquiries both incoming and outgoing
- Excellent written communication skills including emails, letters, writing of minutes and reports
- Able to manage budgets and carry out financial reconciliations
- Ability to build rapport and work effectively with external partners and organisations
- Knowledge of volunteering procedures desirable
