Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team based at our modern Head Office in Liverpool City Centre. We are looking for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has excellent interpersonal and administration skills.

The role requires you to provide administrative support to our wider sales team, working across both national and international markets, including data entry, generating sales reports, and processing tenant booking applications. Quality customer service is paramount, as are excellent relationship management skills and strong attention to detail.

Downing is a family-owned, award-winning developer, owner, and operator of bespoke, luxury student accommodation, residential, and commercial properties across the UK. We have been operating for over 35 years and currently have 14 operational student accommodation schemes in 10 major cities, with an impressive £1.6bn worth of developments in the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and process all sales inquiries within appropriate timeframes, successfully converting general inquiries into sales.
  • Manage the sales booking processes, including obtaining applications and documentation.
  • Update the team and CRM system with bookings and relevant information.
  • Support the wider sales team with admin tasks and training on booking systems.
  • Assist sales and marketing teams in generating and creating sales.
  • Update Operations teams and CRM systems with bookings and relevant information.
  • Process tenant applications via the electronic booking system.
  • Analyze and interpret data to generate sales reports.
  • Update accommodation agents on booking availability and prices.
  • Liaise with internal and external teams to develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Provide sales and admin support to all teams as required.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a sales or admin role.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong, professional relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with online communication apps and platforms.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working with international accommodation agencies.
  • Experience using booking and CRM systems within a data-compliant environment.
  • Experience in the Student Accommodation or University sector.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
