Job Opportunity: Temporary Administrative Assistant in South Belfast

Honeycomb Jobs is pleased to collaborate with a third sector client to recruit a temporary Administrative Assistant.

The Client: This third sector organisation provides homes for a diverse range of people through building, maintaining, and managing properties.

The Role: The successful candidate will deliver professional administrative support to the Community Development team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing administrative support for the Association.
  • Performing general admin duties such as message relaying.
  • Handling operational inquiries and referring issues appropriately.
  • Assisting with planning and logistical arrangements for meetings and events, including booking rooms, arranging hospitality, setting up equipment, and maintaining attendance records.
  • Supporting communication with tenants, colleagues, and suppliers via various channels.
  • Traveling across the province to attend meetings, take minutes, and distribute them promptly.
  • Designing and producing promotional materials for meetings and events.
  • Assisting tenants with mobility issues.
  • Maintaining records and document management systems, including filing and data updating.
  • Occasionally performing physically demanding tasks for events.
  • Managing equipment for community events.
  • Supporting colleagues with archiving and storage tasks.
  • Undertaking additional duties as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 2 GCSEs or equivalent and 6 months' office experience, or 1 year in an admin role.
  • Proficient in IT packages including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • RSA Stage 1 word-processing or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in the housing sector and minute-taking skills are desirable.
