Contract Status: Temporary, up to 18 months

We are pleased to offer an opportunity to work for the largest local authority in Scotland, in partnership with the NHS, to support the data rights of our service users, past and present.

The Complaints, Freedom of Information (FOI), and Investigations Team (CFIT) within the Business Development section of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) handles complaints administration and responses, FOI responses, and duties under the Data Protection Act 2018. The team provides guidance to the wider organization regarding Data Protection matters.

We seek a driven individual to support a new temporary specialist team within CFIT for up to 18 months. Applicants should have previous administration experience, good literacy and numeracy skills, strong communication and organizational abilities, and familiarity with software packages such as Microsoft Office. Full training will be provided for service-specific software and hardware.

Applicants must be able to plan, organize, and complete work within specific deadlines. They should work well as part of a team and be able to deputize for senior managers when needed, prioritizing tasks effectively. A flexible approach to service needs is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out administrative activities supporting complex data processing in compliance with statutory requirements, including locating, collating, and preparing sensitive documents.
  2. Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  3. Engage in practical data processing to support the team in delivering services to vulnerable individuals.
What We Offer:
  • An environment that encourages learning and development.
  • Introduction to real-world applications of data protection legislation.
  • Opportunity to understand social work and work within Scotland's largest local authority.

This role is ideal for someone eager to learn about Social Work and/or data protection. You will support a specialist team dedicated to safeguarding the rights of individuals involved with Social Work Services, gaining valuable experience in a dynamic environment. Your work will contribute to meaningful outcomes that positively impact service users' lives.

This role is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).

Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 2nd June 2025.
