The role:

We currently have a great new opportunity for a Administration Assistant to join our team at Clifton Park Hospital based in York. You will work in a busy bookings team managing a group of consultants for inpatient bookings and ensuring that all theatre procedures are booked in a timely manner. You will support the pre-assessment admin function of the hospital. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the booking of theatre procedures for patients. This role involves ensuring efficient scheduling, maintaining accurate records and providing excellent customer service to patients and other personnel.

You will have:


  • Previous experience in a similar administrative or bookings role
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using booking and scheduling software
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Previous use of a Patient Administration System (PAS) (desirable)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems (desirable)
  • Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting (desirable)
