Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced administrator to support day-to-day operations at Oakfield Short Stay School. You will manage your own workload, handle data systems, and contribute to a flexible, inclusive service for pupils with complex SEMH needs.

The role focuses on delivering efficient administrative tasks within a school setting, using ICT tools and information management systems to track pupil progress and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 qualifications in Maths/Numeracy and English/Literacy.
  • Level 3 qualification in business and administration, or evidence of equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a school environment and carrying out a range of administrative tasks.
  • Excellent ICT skills and ability to use a range of ICT software.
  • Experience of using information management systems and finance software.

Job description

This role is to ensure the provision of efficient and effective administrative support for the day-to-day operation within our secondary sites, planning and managing your own workload in order to meet deadlines. The role would suit an experienced and suitably qualified person who has experience of using data systems and reports within an education setting, particularly within the Special Education sector. Many of our young people present with challenging behaviour, and we are looking for someone who can demonstrate strong empathy and ability to intrinsically connect with pupils with complex SEMH needs and lead in delivering a service that enables flexible data systems that capture pupils progress against their starting points.   • Level 2 qualifications in Maths/Numeracy and English/Literacy. Level 3 qualification in business and administration, or evidence of equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in a school environment, or similar experience carrying out a range of administrative tasks.
  • Excellent ICT skills, along with the ability to make effective use of a range of ICT software in order to fulfil the requirements of the role.
  • Experience of working in a school office or similar setting, meeting the needs of the service.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure, managing your own workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of using information management systems and finance software.
  • Experience using MIS; Management Information Systems and FMS; Finance Management Systems would be beneficial.
