Job summary

Avery Park Care Home in Kettering is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the General Manager and Administrator with essential office tasks. You will help ensure the smooth running of the Home and meet Head Office deadlines on financial procedures and data returns.

Responsibilities include data submission for invoicing, preparing management information for Central Support Office, placing purchase orders, and handling resident personal allowances.

  • To be able to prioritise own workload.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and professional telephone manner.

  • Submit data to enable invoicing by Group Support Centre.
  • Prepare, collate, and dispatch management information to Central Support Office as requested.
  • Place purchase orders with approved suppliers to maintain stock levels and control expenditure within budget.
  • Manage residents' personal allowance and assist with financial arrangements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as an Administrative Assistant will be to support the General Manager and Administrator in administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient management of the Home and meet Head Office deadlines on financial procedures and all information returns.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Being responsible for the submission of data to enable invoicing to be carried out by Group Support Centre.
  • Assisting in the preparation, collation, and dispatch of management information to Central Support Office as requested by the General Manager.
  • Placing purchase orders with approved suppliers, complying with procedures, to maintain appropriate stock levels and controls and ensure expenditure is contained within agreed budget limits.
  • Managing resident’s personal allowance where requested and assist individual residents with financial arrangements.
