Exciting opportunity has arisen in the South Kent Coast Mental Health Services Administration team.

Calling all organised and motivated individuals!

South Kent Coast Mental Health Services have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Administration Assistant to join our friendly Mental Health Together Service based at Coleman House in Dover.

About the Opportunity:

This role offers you the chance to be part of a supportive team providing crucial support to a dedicated clinical team. You'll work alongside Consultant Psychiatrists, Community Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and other healthcare professionals.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the friendly voice answering phones and responding to enquiries.
  • Prepare and meticulously maintain clinical records and correspondence.
  • Assist clinical staff with administrative tasks.
  • Support colleagues working in the generic mailbox.

Main duties of the job

The varied role of the Administration Assistant will include:

  • Supporting the team to action work requests via the Mental Health Together generic mailbox, including the processing of referrals on the patient administration system (Rio).
  • Having contact with patients, carers, relatives, and other external stakeholders.
  • Reception cover will be part of this role.
  • Typing letters and reports.
  • Using the patient record system RIO (training provided).
  • Taking and screening phone calls and managing the MHT mailbox.
  • Ordering of stationery and other items as required via our SBS system (training provided).

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths grade C or above.
  • Microsoft Office packages.

Experience

  • 1 year experience working in an Administrative role.
  • Experience working with Word and Excel.
  • Experience working in Mental Health / NHS environment.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent organisation skills, be able to prioritise your workload.
