A leading healthcare provider in Glasgow is seeking an Administration/Waiting List Manager to oversee specialty waiting lists and ensure compliance with treatment targets. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in waiting list management and staff oversight essential. This role requires someone who can work under pressure and support service improvements for patients.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed term post of 12 months.
The shift pattern for this post is Mon – Fri 9-5.
Please note the salary is pro rata for part time hours.
General Medicine (South Sector) provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to the population of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the West of Scotland. The General Medicine inpatient service is primarily based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) and Gartnavel General Hospital.
Outpatient services are located on three sites, Gartnavel General Hospital, New Victoria ACH, and QEUH. The service supports an extensive range of specialties and sub specialties, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Cardiology, Inherited Cardiac Conditions, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Immunology, General Medicine and Respiratory and Cardiac Physiology. The postholder will have overall responsibility for administrative services within the Sub-specialties they are responsible for, the job purpose includes:-
We are seeking an enthusiast Administration/Waiting List Manager who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is keen to develop and support new ideas to improve the service provision to patients and support creating a sustainable workforce. The ability to work under pressure, managing deadlines and responding to changing priorities is essential. Experience in waiting list management and staff management is essential.
