  • Managing a comprehensive administrative service for Consultants and medical staff.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for service users.
  • Monitoring inpatient and outpatient commitments and escalating when appropriate.
  • Coordinating and allocating work within the admin team for effective operation.
  • Supporting typing of clinic and admin letters.
  • Reviewing past clinic arrivals/outcomes and ensuring actions are completed.
  • Reviewing, booking, and validating follow-up lists from Consultants.
  • Tracking and chasing results, diagnostics, and patient updates.
  • Reviewing future clinics for utilization and capacity issues.
  • Supporting clinic typing and booking appointments.
  • Supporting the Directorate Support Manager and Support Specialty Coordinators.

The Diabetes & Endocrine Department at Worthing Hospital is seeking an Administrator/Support Secretary to join their team.

Requirements: A typing test will be required at interview.

Role includes:

  1. Managing a comprehensive administrative service for Consultants and medical staff.
  2. Acting as the first point of contact for service users.

  9. Reviewing future clinics for utilization and capacity issues.
  10. Supporting clinic typing and booking appointments.
  11. Supporting the Directorate Support Manager and Support Specialty Coordinators as required.
