The Managing Memory/Memory Assessment service at the Fritchie Centre, Cheltenham is recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic administrator to join as a supervisor in our friendly team.

The Managing Memory Service comprises:

  • The Memory Assessment Service, which manages the Trust’s countywide referral, screening, and diagnostic service;
  • The delivery of information and education to carers and service-users;
  • Community Dementia Nurses and Practitioners;
  • Care Home Support Team Nurses.

This service is provided countywide through geographically located community teams in Gloucester, Forest of Dean, Cheltenham, and Stroud. Travel to these sites is required for this role, and expenses are payable.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, and is office-based.

We are looking for: an experienced administrator, ideally from an NHS background, confident in managing a team, and capable of working with minimal supervision. Knowledge of NHS systems and administrative processes would be advantageous. The successful candidate should be innovative, proactive, and able to implement techniques to increase work efficiency.

If you are a competent administrator who can identify issues proactively, we welcome your application to join our friendly and supportive team.

The candidate will provide PA support to the Team Managers, including: identifying and implementing service improvements (e.g., Admin Pathways supporting Patient Care Pathways), maintaining personnel files, and supporting HR processes such as Clinical Team Absence Recording.

In collaboration with the Operational Business Manager, the candidate will manage administrative resources and maintain service provision and a safe office environment.

The role involves supervising Community Administrators across Gloucester, Forest of Dean, and Stroud, including conducting supervisions and appraisals, which requires travel to these sites.

Additionally, the post holder will assist with managing the 0800 telephone number to support patients calling the service.
