Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Dalton-in-Furness is seeking an Administration Officer to provide vital administrative support to the 0-19 Growing Healthy Teams / Safeguarding Team. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or relevant experience, along with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £24,937 to £26,598 per year (pro rata).

Administration Officer / Safeguarding Admin Officer

Main duties
  • Provide administrative support to the 0-19 Growing Healthy Teams / Safeguarding Team.
  • Typing of reports, letters and emails as required.
  • Photocopying, Scanning and filing letters and documents as required.
  • Accessing health records (Summary Care & SystmOne) to compile demographic information to support the team.
  • Ensuring information that comes into the 0-19 Safeguarding Team is scanned/ recorded on clinical records and significant events.
  • To manage the complex filing systems required for the safe handling of child protection information.
  • Making appointments and updating electronic diaries and ledgers when required.
  • To exercise initiative based on knowledge and experience when dealing with enquiries.
  • Responsible for inputting sensitive information and retrieving data on Trust IT systems in accordance with Trust policy.
