Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a permanent, full-time role of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Sunday (8am-8pm).

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Clerical Officer to join our Radiology Department. In this role, you will provide reception and clerical support, ensuring smooth operations within the department. You will play a key part in maintaining an accurate and updated Radiology Computer System (CRIS), while liaising professionally with patients, medical staff, GPs, and other clerical colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a welcoming and professional reception service.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties to support department operations.
  • Update and manage patient records on the Radiology Computer System (CRIS).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, medical professionals, and colleagues.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all administrative tasks.
Skills And Requirements
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems; experience with CRIS is desirable.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Shift working between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday to Sunday.
