Salary: £27,945.35

Contract: Full Time/Permanent

Role and Team

We are seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to join our team at HMP Bedford, CATEGORY B Adult/Male prison. Join a team that works Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, focused on creating a safe and nurturing environment. The Facilities Maintenance Team supports the smooth and safe operation of HMP Bedford, contributing to the safety and well‑being of prisoners, staff and visitors. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators and others who are dedicated to making a positive difference.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support within a busy facilities operation at HMP Bedford as part of the Facilities Maintenance Team.
  • Collaborate with trades and support staff to support a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Utilise available IT systems to support daily administration and facilities management activities.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in using a variety of IT systems including CAFM.
  • Experience in a busy office environment.
  • Experience of working without supervision.
  • Knowledge of IT systems.
  • Up to date First Aid qualification.
  • Administrative experience.
