An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Officer to join our Hockley House residential home at Hampshire County Council.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Officer to be part of a brand-new Ofsted regulated children’s home in Romsey, Hampshire. The home comprises of three self-contained living areas and a communal space. Innovative in purpose and approach, Hockley House meets the complex needs of an identified cohort of children.

The Role:

We are looking for a capable individual who can support a smooth delivery of the home, through effective administrative skills. You will be undertaking work, which is confidential, demanding at times, and will require effective communication skills.

What you’ll do:
  • Provide support to the Registered Manager and team to meet the business needs, including developing effective monitoring systems for the home
  • Work in a multi-agency way, with both co-located health and social care staff
  • Balance the petty cash and oversee the reconciliation of all petty cash claims
  • Oversee invoicing and assist with budget management
  • Provide administrative support to the four weekly panel and Multi-Disciplinary Team; including receipt of referrals, preparation of reports ahead of the meeting, minuting taking and using the social care recording systems to accurately reflect the outcomes of these meetings
  • Use a recording system to meet the needs of both health and social care to support the business needs of the home
  • Co-ordinate, produce and maintain HR spreadsheets and service wide trackers, ensuring they are always up to date
  • Stationary and domestic supplies management and ordering on IBC
  • Respond to all general administration requests
  • Provide cover for other administrators in their absence
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous general administrative experience is essential
  • GCSE (or equivalent) level A-C, (including English and Maths)
  • Confident in all aspects of Office 365, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Effective communication, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Minute taking and finance experience
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
