DurhamLearn is seeking an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to support our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team across County Durham. You will work closely with the SEND team to ensure learners receive a high-quality learning experience, applying SEND and safeguarding knowledge to administrative processes and when action is needed.

This role offers the opportunity to work across different locations, supporting our learners and colleagues while helping to deliver an outstanding service across County Durham. Your administrative base will be Crook Civic Centre. However, this is a varied role and regular travel will be required to Chester-le-Street, where DurhamLearn's SEND courses are delivered.
This is a temporary position until 31/07/27.

Working closely with the SEND team on a day-to-day basis, you'll play an important role in ensuring learners receive a high-quality learning experience. You'll use your knowledge of SEND and safeguarding to support administrative processes, identify when action is required, and contribute to the smooth running of the programme.
Guided by the SEND Programme Lead, you'll help deliver an efficient and supportive service that makes a real difference to learners across County Durham.
Experience of working within a SEND or additional needs educational environment would be an advantage, but is not essential. We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate transferable skills and a commitment to supporting learners.
