Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic and focused individual to join the Women's Health administration team at the University College London Hospital.
You will undertake a key role in a busy and demanding service, ensuring we deliver on a range of targets including clinic and theatre utilisation, RTT compliance and waiting list management. A good working knowledge of Epic would be advantageous . You will work closely with your colleagues, with a view to providing a streamlined pathway for our patients. At times, you will be actively involved in the patient's full pathway from referral to treatment.
You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a drive and energy to improve the patient experience. Knowledge of 18 week pathways and EPIC would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have a patient centered approach and experience of working within a busy NHS team, be a team player, able to multi task and use their own initiative, with values that are aligned with the Trust's core values. This is a permanent full-time role with working hours of 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills, you will need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated with a pro-active approach towards teamwork and service delivery. You will have a high degree of empathy, diplomacy and sensitivity with an acute awareness of the needs of both patient's and the clinical teams.
In addition, you should have good organisational skills supported by previous administrative experience. You will be required possess a competent level of IT skills using Microsoft Office software packages, experience in the use the Epic (Patient administration Record) or similar IT systems will be an advantage but not essential.
This is an actively busy role and the successful candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values, and meet the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. With customer service being a high priority, you will have the ability to respond effectively and respectfully and to patient queries.
You will also share our vision to continually improve our patient's experiences across our outpatient departments and be a part of a team heavily invested in a commitment to providing an exceptional service to all stakeholders.
