Our Third Party Administration (TPA) department is a dynamic team managing a varied portfolio of clients. They provide market-leading services on Defined Benefits (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), and CARE pension arrangements.

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join as an Administration Consultant within our Data Journey team, based in Birmingham, Edinburgh, or Glasgow.

What will your role look like?

Your role involves managing projects to meet regulatory requirements and client needs, overseeing a team of analysts with effective workflow management. You will be involved in end-to-end project management, including data and benefit audits, GMPE reconciliation, rectification, implementation, and risk transfer projects.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading team members to deliver their daily workloads aligned with project priorities.
  • Managing schedules, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring team capacity.
  • Meeting Service Level Agreements for clients.
  • Being the main contact for team members and project coordinators regarding client and technical issues.
  • Serving as the primary client contact for project deliverables.
  • Representing the team in Trustee meetings on project matters.
  • Continuously improving workflows and practices.
  • Ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Maintaining chargeability targets, managing outside work, and invoicing.
  • Providing expert pensions administration advice to clients.
  • Overseeing reviewer processes per best practices.
  • Traveling between Hymans’ UK offices as needed.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Extensive pensions operations experience, workflow management, and service quality standards.
  • Updated knowledge of legislation for DB and DC pensions.
  • Experience leading multiple projects with a collaborative approach.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and pension administration systems.
  • Good understanding of governance principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly to trustees and non-technical audiences.

Ideally, candidates will hold or be working towards a professional qualification like Associate Membership of the Pension Management Institute, or have relevant industry experience in the UK pensions market.
