Hours: 22.5 hours per week + 5 INSET days (The successful candidate will be expected to
work one full day, however the other hours are flexible and this can be discussed
with the successful candidate).

The Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle has a growth plan for Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education
Trust to serve South Tyneside, Sunderland and East Durham.
Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust was established in February 2016, currently there are
thirty schools within the Trust, five secondary schools with four sixth forms and 25 primary schools.

St. Cuthbert’s is a happy, family orientated school and we have an exciting opportunity for a
competent and hardworking School Administrator to join our team from 1st September 2025. This
role is ideal for someone who enjoys being busy, can communicate well, is organised, and likes
variety in their work.
We are seeking an individual to:
• Provide administrative support to meet the needs of the school.
• Ensure the smooth running of the school office and provide support to all areas of school
administration.
• Produce and process routine school documentation and letters.
• Ensure all visitors are welcomed to our school and that they comply with the school’s
safeguarding procedures.
• Take an active role in first aid provision.
The successful candidate will have:
• A minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent A-C grade including Maths and English.
• Great communication and organisational skills and enjoy working with and dealing with a
range of people.
• The ability to work well under pressure, manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
• Relevant and recent experience of working in a customer service or administrative or
receptionist role.
• Good work ethic and the ability to work to own initiative.
• Good knowledge of ICT, Microsoft Office programmes, such as Word and Excel.

have a responsibility to assist, where appropriate and necessary, with the training and development
of fellow employees.
All employees have a responsibility of care for their own and others’ health and safety.
