A local employment agency in Knott End-On-Sea is seeking an Administration Assistant to provide end-to-end administrative support. The role involves handling customer calls, supporting office tasks, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates need Level 2 English and maths or a willingness to learn. Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to a full-time position.
Overall objective:
The Administration Assistant role provides end-to-end administrative support to staff under the direction of the Principal/Directors. The hourly rate of pay is NMW 16-18 Apprentice £7.55 per hour; for 19+ hourly rate to be discussed.
The role involves timely completion of administrative tasks and contributing to a comprehensive insurance service.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Carry out general office work and specific administrative tasks to ensure efficient office operations.
2. Provide administrative support to staff as required.
3. Handle customer calls professionally and provide high-standard customer service.
4. Greet customers confidently and professionally.
5. Support clerical tasks including correspondence, document processing, scanning, filing, and recording details using IT systems.
6. Respond to correspondence, calls, faxes, and emails.
7. Maintain accurate records.
8. Cover the office during holidays and absences.
9. Support internal colleagues effectively.
10. Ensure compliance with the company's Compliance Manual and employment policies, including chapters on Commercial and Consumer Business, Credit, Conduct, Complaints, Training, Conflicts of Interest, Whistleblowing, Financial Crime, Data Security, Record Keeping, and Vulnerable Customers.
11. Follow all company practices and procedures.
12. Engage with senior management to ensure customers are treated fairly and all TCF procedures are observed.
13. Attend supervision, team, and management meetings, as well as training courses.
14. Report security breaches and ensure personal data is securely handled in line with the Data Protection Act.
15. Maintain awareness of company policies and work cooperatively with all departments.
16. Undertake other duties as directed by management.
Training:
The successful candidate will work towards completing the Level 2 Customer Service Standard, delivered by Blackpool and The Fylde College. The apprenticeship includes off-the-job training, assessment, and support for English and maths.
Qualifications required:
Minimum of Level 2 English and maths (grades A*-D or 9-3), or willingness to complete Functional Skills Level 1/2.
Skills required:
Conscientiousness, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Prospects:
Full-time position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Qualification: Customer Service Practitioner (ST0072), duration 15 months.
