This is a part time post working 22.5 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an Administrative Assistant at Tenbury Community Hospital.

Tenbury Hospital is a forward-thinking community hospital supporting our local population and the acute services from Worcester and Hereford. We provide inpatient services, a minor injury unit and an outpatient department.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate team player to work within the Administration Team. The Administration Team carry out a variety of duties, covering reception, ward administration including admitting and discharging patients, scanning, booking transport and appointments, room bookings, managing patient records and a variety of general administration tasks, supporting the clinical staff and patients. Each day will be different, and the role will involve working across all administrative functions.

As you will be working directly with our patients and relatives you will be required to adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies at all times.

You will need to be a team player, with a flexible, can do approach together with the ability to prioritise your own workload. We will provide the successful candidate with appropriate training in the necessary processes and Trust IT systems and ongoing support in their use.

Please note the Trust will not provide sponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to work in the UK status.

Main duties of the job

Ideally you should have significant relevant administrative experience with excellent organisational and communication skills. You should have knowledge of office procedures as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Key responsibilities include supporting the ward staff, updating and amending the patient EPR, booking patients into the wards, maintaining accurate records, reception cover and problem solving, scanning, answering telephone calls, greeting visitors to the hospital, liaising with the clinical teams and actioning a variety of daily administrative tasks.
