Administration Assistant - A47 Norwich
Location: Blofield, England

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join the team on the major A47 scheme in Norwich for Galliford Try Infrastructure. As an Administration Assistant, you will provide effective and efficient administrative assistance to the project team.


Key Responsibilities –

You will:

  1. Assist with the typing and preparation of meeting minutes, letters, reports, and other documents as required.
  2. Assist the team with printing and copying of documents, ensuring printers are appropriately maintained and replacement materials available.
  3. Open and distribute incoming post and frank and dispatch outgoing post in accordance with Company requirements.
  4. Assist with new starters to the company, ensuring, where applicable, security passes are issued, fire/phone registers are updated, and business cards ordered.
  5. Assist in the control of the purchase and issue of stationery, maintaining stationery stock at the required levels.
  6. Where required, accurately maintain archive databases and electronic records including destruction requests.
  7. Ensure meeting room bookings are well managed including any requirements for refreshments arranged prior to meetings.
  8. Assist with checking and authorising invoices for payment, dealing with any queries as they arise.
  9. Assist the Training team with the input of relevant training courses for CITB claim.
  10. Provide cover for reception area as required.

About You –
  1. Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adhere to company health and safety policy and procedures.
  2. Able to work in line with the Galliford Try values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Collaboration.
  3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  4. An organised approach to work with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  5. Good attention to detail.
  6. GCSE/National 5 Equivalent in Maths and English.
  7. Fully conversant with the Microsoft suite of packages.

Location -

At Galliford Try, we are committed to flexible and agile working. Day-to-day working locations are flexible and agreed periodic homeworking is an option. The role is to support the A47 project in Norfolk which will be based in Blofield.
