Administration Assistant
We are currently looking for an Admin Assistant to work with us on a full-time basis in Manchester, reporting into the Cyber Underwriting Manager.
This is an entry level role and would be suitable for a school leaver or graduate, or an individual looking for a career change into the insurance industry.

You will take personal ownership of end-to-end handling of system processes including that of any e-trade platform used in support of the cyber account.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and process own work so that the relevant part of the team workload is handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare documentation as may be required and calculate premium adjustments and debits by reference to rating and underwriting schedules within the policies, so that work is completed efficiently.
  • Prepare renewal statistics including premium/claims experience in detail where requested by the Underwriters.
  • Make a positive input into the team's effectiveness, suggesting ways in which work systems and processes can be altered and improved.
  • Respond to and take ownership of customer enquiries and allocated mail.
  • Work flexibly within a team carrying out a wide range of tasks, assisting colleagues wherever pressure is greatest, in a manner that enables the Company to ensure that a high level of customer service is delivered.
  • Work with other members of the team so that personal competency and ability to achieve objectives is continuously improved.
  • Ensure open communication and collaboration across all lines of business and the sales and development function.
  • General administrative duties.
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships with other team members, the Claims Department, the Sales and Development Team, the Syndicate and the Directors.
  • Build and maintain strong external relationships with a range of contacts within the allocated intermediaries and customers.
  • Undertake other duties as directed within the level of the job function.
  • Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.
  • Understand all appropriate lines of escalation and the responsibilities of the Product Conduct Risk Strategy Group (PCRSG), Underwriting & Claims Sub Committee (UCSC), ExCo and Board for Conduct Risk.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic level of technical/product knowledge, a genuine curiosity about cyber and a desire to develop current knowledge.
  • Ability to understand established systems and processes.
  • Customer focused.
  • Ability to prioritise own work and manage workloads.
