Job summary

Rochdale Borough Council is seeking an organised Admin Assistant (Executive Support) to provide high-quality administrative support to the Executive Support Manager and assist with senior leadership functions.

You will manage admin tasks, diary and inbox for the Chief Executive and support governance activities, producing professional correspondence and coordinating meetings with minutes and actions. Training will be provided to develop your skills within Corporate Services.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Experience of providing customer service and administrative support.
  • Well-developed IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and electronic record-keeping systems.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, equality, diversity and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Executive Support Manager with administrative duties.
  • Assisting with Leadership Team agendas and reports.
  • Supporting diary and inbox management for the Chief Executive, including scheduling meetings.
  • Producing professional correspondence, letters and documents.
  • Organising meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking and action tracking.
  • Responding to requests for information and resolving enquiries where appropriate.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic records and information systems.
  • Raising purchase orders and reconciling purchasing card payments.
  • Developing effective working relationships with colleagues, elected Members and external stakeholders.
  • Full training will be given for all these responsibilities as needed.

Rochdale Borough Council is seeking an Admin Assistant (Executive Support) to join our Corporate Services department. About the Role
