Administrative Assistant

Pay: £13.47 per hour, 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Location: Corby, NN17 4SW, Office based only.

Length: 3 months

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join their Housing Maintenance & Development department to provide support with a range of administrative tasks.

As Administrative Assistant your typical duties will include:

  • Despatching repair jobs for the Corby and Kettering areas
  • Monitoring and responding to repair-related enquiries from tenants, residents, members, other council departments, suppliers and contractors
  • Creating, booking, and assigning jobs to operatives
  • Supporting depot operations by covering for sickness and holidays
  • Assisting with workload during high-demand periods alongside existing Despatchers

We are looking for a clear communicator with a proactive, customer focused attitude, with experience of working in an office environment and carrying out a range of administrative tasks.

The perfect candidate will be:

  • A quick learner with strong organisational skills
  • Collaborate well with others and be flexible in their approach to meet the demands of the post and team, working flexibly between depots as required
  • Able to deal with confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Able to understand and be able to comply with the Council's policies and procedures
