The Role

Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join the Junior School on a temporary basis from 13 August 2025 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks) to July 2026. The role is part time, term time only role, working 25 hours per week. As this is a part time role, the pro rata salary range for this post is £15,381- £15,930 per annum and will reflect qualifications and relevant experience The role is based at the Junior School on the Ravelston site.

The purpose of the role is to support the administrative function of the Leadership team in the Junior School at Ravelston.

The successful candidate will have strong administrative experience, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. They will be adaptable, able to manage priorities, and handle confidential information with discretion. Experience in a school setting and supporting events is desirable, along with a positive, proactive attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Eligibility

ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right work in the UK.
