Overview

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our Therapies Team at Westmorland General Hospital as an Administrator and Orthotics Officer.

Full time and part time hours available.

Responsibilities
  • Provision of the orthotics service including day to day ordering and issuing of Orthotics, replacement and maintenance as necessary.
  • Management of clinic appointments, both initial and review, for the Orthotic service.
  • Communication with the Orthotist regarding waiting list management.
  • Provide administrative support to the Therapy Services as required.
Location and services

We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre. FGH and the RLI offer a range of General Hospital services with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services. WGH provides General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre for non-life threatening conditions. All three main hospitals offer planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery, plus local outreach services and diagnostics from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
