Job summary

South Yorkshire Police is seeking an Admin Support Clerk (Operation Beaconport) to provide clerical and administrative support within the Crimes Services investigation team at Europa View, Sheffield.

The role supports national investigations into group-based child sexual exploitation and abuse, with a 12-month temporary contract and a 37-hour work week. Applicants should have experience with computer systems and customer-facing administration.

  • Experience dealing with members of the public or partner agencies in person or on the phone.
  • Experience working within a clerical/administration environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process telephone calls on behalf of the Op Beaconport Team
  • Provide clerical and administrative support.
  • Interrogate various South Yorkshire Police computer systems to retrieve data and disseminate results.
  • Liaise with and act as point of contact for various partnership and external agencies to share information as appropriate.
  • Support the arrangement of meetings.
  • Input information onto South Yorkshire Police computer systems.
  • Collate and disseminate data for key performance indicators.
  • Create and update records on the South Yorkshire Police Databases.
  • To produce, record, process and distribute correspondence and reports as required
  • Ad hoc typing requirements and filing of papers and other administrate duties.
  • Carry out any other duties commensurate with the purpose and grading of the post that may from time to time be determined.
