Job description

A lovely school in Blackburn is looking for an Admin Assistant to support in

The ideal candidate is a confident, highly organised, professional, and detail-oriented individual with excellent ICT skills, who thrives in a fast-paced school environment. You must have previous experience in administrative duties.

Location: BB1

Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am- 11.30am (15 hours per week)

Rate of pay: £13.75- £14.50 per hour

Temp/ Prem: starting May 2025

Job Description

  1. Providing a warm welcome to all. Dealing with telephone and face-to-face enquiries in an efficient and professional manner.
  2. Ensuring that all messages are dealt with in a timely and accurate fashion and, where relevant, relayed to colleagues promptly.
  3. Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
  4. Maintaining the security and safeguarding of the school by controlling access and ensuring the completion of relevant procedures i.e. signing in, issuing of identification badges.
  5. Providing information and support to other staff members as required.
  6. Providing hospitality for visitors.
  7. Ensuring that all information is treated confidentially and to have absolute discretion at all times, complying with the school’s data protection procedures.
