We have an operating base in Yate and work throughout Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire and Bath & NE Somerset. The focus of our business is to supply and maintain a range of mobility equipment to help clients stay independent for longer in their own homes. Our aim is to provide the best level of service we can, to support individuals, families, and the community with their requirements. With extensive experience in the field, we are specialists in the provision of hoisting systems (ceiling track) and our stairlift and large lift operations are rapidly expanding. The business continues to develop in all areas, and we have recently been successful in securing further contract work within our operating base.

About the role

We are offering a new opportunity for an Admin Assistant to join our existing office team, and to play a vital role in supporting the daily operations. The office is a busy environment, so a calm approach and the ability to prioritise tasks is essential. The position is initially being offered on a part time basis, 3 days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – with the possibility of increasing the hours in the future.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering the incoming phone, dealing with enquiries as necessary.
  • Liaising with other team members throughout the day.
  • Supporting our skilled team of engineers working out in the field by providing any additional information required for their daily operations.
  • Data entry in preparation for invoicing and reporting.
  • Updating client records.
  • Electronic management of engineers’ reports received throughout the day – proof reading, identifying further works required and actioning / filing as necessary.
  • Additional tasks as required by the company, such as undertaking customer feedback calls and appointment making.
  • Working in line with company values, providing a person-centred service.

We are looking for:

  • An aptitude for working with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • An ability to think calmly and work effectively under pressure, prioritising as necessary.
  • A high degree of computer literacy.
  • A work ethic and values which closely match those of the company.
  • Good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • A willingness and capacity to learn new skills and to adapt to varied ways of working.
  • An understanding of the requirements of our clients.
  • A desire to work in a role which supports other members of the community in maintaining their independence.

What we offer

  • Working within a friendly and supportive team, for a well-established business.
  • A varied role in which you can improve life for others.
  • In house training.
  • Competitive rates of pay.
  • 28 days holiday allowance per year, increasing after 2 years’ service.
  • On site parking.

Summary of the role:

  • Part Time, Permanent
  • Start salary – £27,000 pro rata
  • Standard hours – 24 hours per week. Standard working hours are Monday-Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm.
  • Start date – as soon as possible.
  • Location – Yate, South Gloucestershire.
