School Admin Assistant

  • Location: North Birmingham
  • Start date: September 2025
  • Salary: 110- 130 per day
  • Contract: Temporary, full-time, ASAP, options for temp to perm
  • Hours: 8:15am - 3:45pm, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a School Admin Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Birmingham. This School Admin Assistant role is starting in September, offering the opportunity to work at the heart of a vibrant school community. You will be the first port of call for all visitors as well as keeping things running smoothly day-to-day. Our client is also seeking a School Admin Assistant who can speak fluent Bengali.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a friendly and professional welcome to visitors, parents, and pupils.
  • Manage front office duties including answering calls, responding to emails, and handling enquiries.
  • Maintain accurate student records and attendance data.
  • Support with general administrative tasks, filing, and correspondence.
  • Assist with school communications such as newsletters and letters home.
  • Work closely with staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
  • Must be able to speak Bengali
  • Previous experience in a school office or admin environment is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Confident with IT systems and Microsoft Office (experience with Bromcom or Sims is essential).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
