Job summary

The Jobs and Skills team is responsible for supporting local unemployed residents into work, increasing their skills, and working with local employers to secure new job opportunities for Lewisham residents.

What’s the role?

The Apprentice provides essential support to the Lewisham Works programme. The Apprentice works with other team members to achieve project success. This is an interesting and dynamic role, and the exact responsibilities will vary by project, but key components of the Administrator’s role includes administrative, communication and digital skills. The Apprentice will provide front line customer service to potential participants from the officers at Old Town Hall.

You will spend your time supporting the Compliance Quality and Fidelity Officer to make sure vital data is captured properly. You will be trusted with a range of business support activities, giving you broad insights in localgovernment and supporting resident with their employment and skills.

An outstanding apprentice will be an analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. A successful Administrator is able to work across multiple tasks and projects in a high volume, fast-pace work environment. They are team players with a high level of self-motivation and ability to set and meet goals.

Location

Whilst Lewisham offers a hybrid approach across both office and home locations. This role will be predominantly office based at Catford Town Hall alongside a number of community based locations within the borough.

Special conditions

  • English Language GCSE grade an above or equivalent is needed
  • Candidates must live in the borough of Lewisham
